Most boring question award Posted by creatureworks on Mar 04, 2013
Hi Guys! Sorry I've got a really dull question here: Do I put my foam outcuts into the recycling bin or general waste bin? Well? Do I win the award for most boring question?

I would imagine that all depends on your local area. For example here in KCMO USA we do have recycling but it is limited to certain things. They don't except glass and some plastics at the curbside although there are recycling centers you can take them to. Offcuts of poly foam would not be something they would except here at either place.
Hey why not recycle them for your own use. Cut your offcuts into smaller pieces and use them as filler for arms or legs.

Shawn is right on the moeny. I live in a very "green" community, and I can't send the scraps to recycling. Instead, I will cut down the smallest bits to use as glue spreaders. The slightly larger pieces I use to make extra noses, ears, etc. in case I am making a "whatnot" type puppet, or to swap out on a blank. I also save the longer, thinner pieces for using as wedges when rouding out head foam.
I have a giant ziploc bag currently I keep the largest pieces in (for mouthplates, etc.) and I'm thinking of getting one of those pup up laundry bins to use instead.

I have to agree with Lola about re-using everything until there is none left! As for the most boring question, I was dumbfounded to see an TV ad here in the UK yesterday for toilet paper, that basically asks if you scrunch or fold the sheets?!! I mean, good grief. Up shot is, creatureworks; you're safe! :D

Lola - Dollar tree has the pop up bins. So does Ikea. I have several that I use.
