Interview from Wondercon Posted by Lola on Apr 03, 2013
Hey everyone! I had a table in the Artist's Alley over the weekend, and was interviewed a few times. Here's the first one to go up:

I will try to post pics of the table and such after the weekend is over.

Looks like you had tons of fun!! Did you sell some puppets too?

I had a total blast!

I did okay, but it was mostly smaller items. My table cost was $200, so I broke even. The best part of the whole thing was having my mother in law with me. She kept asking me who everyone was dressed as. I still don't think she QUITE understands the Dr. Who premise, but that and My Little Pony were both super popular. Also, zombies and steampunk were pretty prevelant. The 4th doctor had the most cosplay, followed by the Tardis.

One of the highlights of the weekend was when the robotic Wall-E came by. I talked to the wife of the man who created it for almost an hour. He's a citris farmer, and started off making robotic R2D2s. It was SO well done. Wish I'd had time to take a picture with it!

Pretty cool interview!  I find it odd though that the interviewer did not hold the mic in the puppets hand and have him do the interview. You did great though in handling both mic and replies!

At least you broke even! It sounds like lots of fun. I have a friend who was there dressed as two-face. He had a picture on facebook of his make-up and it was amazing so I am sure you saw some pretty amazing costumes. Time with your mother-in-law must have been good!! Thanks for sharing!

Shawn - She was kind of fascinated by the puppet. I had a hard time getting it back from her!

The costumes were pretty amazing. There were a few times my jaw almost hit the ground!
