Algor the Hunchback and COMING SOON the Ticket Taker Posted by General Grunt on Apr 07, 2013
Okay, so I'm going to do a progress log on my next puppet. Here is a character that's ALMOST done (I just need to make his arms) and then I shall start on the next one, my character the Ticket Taker. The fellow you see here is the Hunchback Algor. He's a Hunchback who thinks he is Al Gore. He's made from fleece, foam, ping pong balls etc. The real advantage to this character is reusing old puppet cloths that I would have thrown away. Since he's a hunchback I wanted his clothing to be all torn and tattered. I had an old torn up kids suit jacket, a dress shirt that didn't fit, and a clip on tie. They were perfect for this puppet. Now I'm debating what to do for the arms. I don't know if I should do regular puppet arms or gloved/live hand arms. This character will have a segment for my youtube channel where he plays a pipe organ. So I'm thinking gloves, but I think it would look better with smaller arms with rods. I'll update when I finish, and then I'll start working on another character of mine: The Ticket Taker! a homicidal, cuckoo for cocoa puffs carnival crocodile! I'll let you know when I start. Heck, I may even do video logs.

Really like this guy.   How about both gloved and smaller puppet arms. Put the smaller arms and hands on the puppet but then make a pair of gloved arms and hands you can put on and use for close up shots of playing the organ. Might be more trouble then it is worth but thought I would suggest.

I see the image of the Ticket Taker in your Gallery.  Like the look of him also.
