Thanks for the welcome back Snail! It was a frustrating break but you're so right, worth it for all the ideas now floating around.

Na, typical of me, I went too large. Decided to tackle bike brake cables instead of following your advice as in his infinite wisdom, my boyfriend said it would be easy. Needless to say my current project remains a ventriloquist styled puppet... back to basics!

Hmm, yes when it comes to cable control, it's probably best to start with the extremely simple. Good luck with the continued attempts at it!

If someone doesn't dream bigger than they think they can accomplish, great things would not get done.  I start out with bigger than I can handle dreams often but sometimes I am surprised that I can do it. Don't be discouraged if you can't go big every time, but you can still dream as big as you want. But remember big puppets are heavier, so think light as you can so it will get used more.

Snail, I'll see if I can upload a photo of my studio soon. ALL my puppets are massive and utter bastards to work with sometimes! I'm totally with you, go large and see where it takes you! Most of the time it takes me to awesome heights - on this occasion I crashed and burned. Que Sera!

A saying  I heard last year  may apply, 'aim for the moon , to hit the tree'  nice to see you back.
