The body sleeve Posted by Jeroen van Ooijen on Jun 03, 2013
I have a question about the bodysleeve from the alternate bodypatern.
Is it normal that at the frontside the sleeve is open because on the pattern there is no sewline for that, and the bottom is wide so the sleeve goes not around the whole bottom, let me know, because i'm not sure now.
Thanks

The sleeve should definitely go all the way around, there is a part on the sleeve pattern that said "mirror this edge", that means there should have been 2 pieces cut and sewn together. It looks like you may have used only one?

I did mirror this edge and i had two pieces of fabric, but it doesn't go around whole the body.look at at my picture.

Yes something is off there. Really the sleeve is just one long strip of fabric. If you want take a tape measure and measure around the bottom of the puppet. That is how long the stip should be. Then just make it as wide as the pattern was. Or Since you already have this done just cut another hunk of fur to fill the gape and sew it in. That is what is nice about working with fur. It hides everything!
