Knowing absolutely nothing about puppet making, here is MacGillicuddy. I made him 31 years ago and have repaired him and altered him a couple times. I know so much more now, and I wouldn't change him for anything. I don't think I could ever duplicate him, I'd have to find another identical plastic bowl to recreate those amazing lips.

That is very cool! Is he carved from wood?

Mr Lupvet was my first. Typical of me, I went too big too soon - he's more a large ventriloquist than a puppet - but I love him regardless

Great idea for a thread. I look forward to seeing what others share.

My first two puppets (I built them at the same time) Snippet on the left and Snappet on the Right. I was going to use them as evil doers, but they're just too darned cute.

Okay, Lizzie...that puts me to shame.  Awesome first.  This is my first 16-18yrs ago. He's still going strong.  My husband uses him every week in our Chikdren's Ministry with the first and second graders.

He is the first of three I made entirely of cloth and stuffed. The hands and feet are wire with sculpting wax pressed in, and covered with floral tape, then painted.
