My first puppet...Morty!
After reading up, reasearching, and watching videos- this guy took me a little less than a day to make.
Morty works as a CPA in his uncle’s accounting firm. Overworked and underappreciated, Morty’s days are spent trapped in a cubicle surrounded by a never-ending stack of papers. Needless to say, Morty is ready for a well deserved vacation! He’s got his bags all packed and is looking forward to a nice relaxing week on the beach...far away from the stress and headaches of the daily 9-5 grind!
Morty has a soft foam skull and body , a hard mouth plate with thumb/finger straps to allow for more versatile/ controlled movement, jointed & poseable arms w/ arm rod control on right hand, a polymer hand-sculpted, glossed tongue, and airbrushed details for extra character! I used Project Puppet's Roly Pattern and didn't have to change too much. I am pretty happy with how he turned out! I would love any feedback you fine people would have to offer.

Thanks! I sculpted the tongue from ploymer clay and baked. After it was cooled, I used clear finger nail polish to give it that wet look!

He looks great! What a stylish shirt.

Morty looks great! Awesome first job and Shawn's right, the shirt really emphasises his character. But I'm with Jeroen - how can you bring yourself to part with him?!! I have kept my first dozen or so. Namely because with time I realised how many mistakes I made on them but also because I can't bear to see them go
