in that case scojack, it would be the definition that is close to 'mucking around'. like '''stop footering and get on with your homework.

Page -- What you do is footery (fiddly, tricky to do).
What I do is footering (mucking about)
Hope that clears it up )

Ok now you have me curious pagestep, are you working your way across NZ doing odd jobs? I tell you what you are resourceful in every aspect of your life. I admire you. I realize we have gotten off topic, but hey that is what we do here.

Ha scojack, yep that's what you do, although I'd say you don't muck around, you really get down and work on some good fiddly and tricky stuff. Shawn, yes we are bouncing from house to house, house sitting, pet sitting, as we could not afford to rent anything, and for food I joined a temp agency which gave me some sporadic jobs, but the last one on a construction site they did not want to let me escape. Ha , a funny thing was when someone wrecked the electric hand planer by hitting a blob of concrete and shattered the blades , I whipped up a manual hand planer to get the job done.. that caused a buzz around the site.

I can just see that, so like you. Expanding your knowledge base wherever you land and leaving them with their mouths open no doubt. Still want you to live next door.
