A dutch marionette theatre will start building my custom puppet next week, it will be a marionette (street)dog
It will be a typical, cool street dog. When my puppet is ready, I'll send some pics.

A have a lot of questions:

- do you have some tips to practice playing the puppets? (videos, websites, ...)
- The marionette theatre doesn't know how to make blinking eyes for my puppet. does anywhone else know? Do you have a drawing or something?
- If the theatre can't make the blinking eyes, I would like the have a mountable sunglasses for my dog that he can move up and down. (kind of flirting move).

I answered your questions in your other introduction post. Do a search here on the site though for blinking or moving eyes.  We have had a lot of discussions on this before so you'll get some good information that way also that I may have missed.

Almost forgot... there is this video out there on the basics of moving a marionette but like I said in the other post, the best is to stand in front of a mirror and just play!

I love marionettes Id love to learn how to build them properly and perform them. Such a beautiful art!

The book Making and Manipulating Marionettes (David Currell, ISBN1861266634) has some good diagrams for blinking eyes and moving mouth. Ask your local library.

I am sorry, but I do not know any free digital resource.

That's ok I don't mind supporting other artists! I need to find time to make one myself.
