Lots of pics to catch up on my new builds Posted by ArthurS on Aug 06, 2013
I have been gone a while.  I got injured (Thrown from an 1800# horse when the saddle slid, into a wall, too his feet which scared him and he ran away by first (accidentally) stomping on and crushing my leg) so have been unable to get to or spend much time on the computer for the last 11 weeks.  BUT, I have had lots of time to build puppets!  So this post will have lots of pictures...

simple blue puppet.  Not sure I like this kind of fur...

Me at the convention with Felix Silvia (Cousin It, Twiki from Buck Rogers, etc).  I also got my werewolf signed by Earl Chaney, the son of Lon Chaney, Jr.!

I got a couple promo shots done at the convention with Mookie as well:

Dog puppet for a client.  Made it so you can raise one or both ears from inside.  Its actually quite adorable.

As many have heard, there is some new reality show that is auditioning. I am applying and the following pics I took for that.  The first is just of my collection.  The next few is of the build I did for the video.

This is my first attempt at a puppet like this.  Here is the clay model

Here it is in the plaster, the front and back of the finished mold, and the rough piece

And here is the finished puppet.  Now, I am a puppet builder.  But this one has actually inspired me to possibly perform.  I already have a vent script written.  Just need to practice and get the nerve up!!!

Whew... I think I am caught up now!  Still working on about 10 more mouth puppets for craft shows.  Then a couple more full-size monsters for the Zombie convention.

My you have been busy! So pleased you stopped in to catch us up.  They all look great!

I kind of think the "joke" is very clever. If you are making them to sell at booths I have the feeling they could be a best seller.

So how did you get hurt? "Oh nothing big, just got trampled by an 1800lb horse." Now how many folks can say that. Do hope your doing better.

Sorry about your accident, hope your leg heals well.  I think the clown is the scariest of the zombie hord.

Thanks all for the encouragment, comments and well wishes.  I'm currently working on some simple puppets for craft shows.  Nothing fancy, but over 30 of them to start...

Thriller Michael is fantastic, I'm also loving some of the other zombies. I love that they're all unique from one another. Keep it up!!

Wow you have been busy! There are some  really  cool puppets there.
My Brother had his face kicked in by his horse. Has I think four plates holding his face together. He is fine now. Excellent reconstruction.
You look so big  beside cousin IT. You certainly do get to some  fun conventions.what are you planning next?
