I am intrigued by the title "Facebook Linkbait Edition".  Is this weeks posting a test of social media reach?

No lol, it's because it has an intro that's very similar to those "Upworthy-style" posts that are all over Facebook...

I was all set to write my regular Weekly Puppetry News Round-Up when suddenly a man picked up a projector and a shadow puppet and the most incredible thing happened. You won’t believe what it was…

What can I say, I was a little bored...and annoyed by seeing how every site seems to be doing those on Facebook.  

I understand what you mean. Seems like it does not matter what the article is about as long as you "insert sensational claim headline here".  Pleased you have not jumped on that band wagon and continue to deliver good solid content. 

There's actually a really good slideshow floating around the net that explains Upworthy's headline writing process, which is actually very solid - even though it's not everyone's cup of tea (me included). I think a lot of people copy their styles without understanding the reasoning behind it.
