I have wanted to make puppets for years and finally started a little over a year ago. My first project was pretty experimental, it was an adaptation of Poe's The Raven using rod and shadow puppets. Next I began to make glove puppets and my first piece with those (which I'm still working on) is an adaptation of a Chekhov short story. I'm interested in continuing to do adaptations from classic literature. I just recently began working for my local library, which has a great puppet collection (store bought). So now I am also writing and performing shows for children (my solo work has been for adults). I'm looking forward to getting to know other puppeteers and seeing your work!
