So Jim's channel has been doing well for me, but I'm not completely satisfied with the quality of the videos and production. Which is why I'm in need of a camera crew who would do well with puppets and can handle my craziness for demands(:P)

So what's the best way to get one? I've been thinking about looking for young college kids my age who just started film school and production and such, but are they really reliable?
I don't wish to pay lots of money for some top of the line crew who has done work out of my expertise.

So what should I do? And how should I do it?

How are you doing things now? What aspect are you not happy with?

As I have said before, the quality isn't too well.
I just use my phone for now. Haha. I need an actual movie camera, something that can do multiple things, much more then a normal camera. You know, something made for making actual movies and such.

Not sure you really need a camera crew. Start with investing in a camera. The GoPro line has been getting a lot of press lately and I have to say they do produce some amazing images. http://gopro.com/cameras  They even have a remote that works with them.

Now the idea of getting in touch with some college kids that are taking film classes is not a bad idea even if you do get a camera. The only thing is that then it becomes a collaboration, but that may not be a bad thing. They could bring to your videos things you may not think about.

What about working with your local puppet guild? I would guess that a lot of puppeteers out there would have the same issues. You could do a trade: help them with their video, they help you with yours.
