New muppet movie. Posted by Arachanox on Nov 21, 2013
So who's excited for the new muppet movie?! I know I am! I hope it can top the last one! The preview comes out in about 10 or so hours. Haha. Anyone fans of the great Jim Henson?

Always a joy to see the Muppets on screen, but I'm a little dubious about Ricky Gervais... Here in the UK he's become somewhat of an annoying ponce. Let's hope he can't spoil it! haha

'ponce'... you may need to translate for some of the non-Brits.

Love the muppets.  I was a little disappointed by the last one even though there were some touching moments. The trailer looks good.

Looks pretty good, I liked the last one it was a great comeback. I hope this one does well too, need more puppetry movies

Nothing like the original (1979). It was funny, touching, and had some breakthrough puppetry.  No CGI back then.

That said, I'm all about another Muppet flick.

I though of the same thing when I heard Mr. Gervais was in it, until I saw Derek. It changed my who outlook on him and opinion. Yeah sure he's a jerk. But that's not all he does. So I feel with his sensitive side and jerk-ish side coming together will be good for the character he's playing.

I wasnt to thrilled with the last movie. I think Disney is the wrong people to handle the Muppets. But I will see it anyway beçause they are the Mullets.

I have to disagree with you Monkey. I think Disney is the best studio to continue the Muppets legacy. They've been making quality family movies for decades and the have a great team of storytellers at their disposal. Even if it doesn't make the grade compared to the old Muppet movies I don't know if there's another big studio that could make it better than Disney could. Part of my assumptions are based on the fact that Jim Henson was in negotiations with Disney before his death. Which leads me to believe that he felt this way too.

I loved the last Muppets movie. Excited to see the new one too. Any reason why some of you guys didn't like the last one?
