Yes his blinking mech is part of the eyebrows as he doesnt have lids so to speak LOL
Being that the nose is a usefull part it was def worth making a mould for future puppets. Funny thing is I made the nose months ago before I decided to make this puppet. Weird way of doing things but it worked out great.
Hmm, thought so. Funny how once you know how these things are made you can tell what are hidden mech parts.
I think making moulds are probably very useful for future work with clients. Why recreate the wheel when you can have stock moulds waiting to be used?
By the way, these are great examples of your work and I'm sure I don't have to tell you, but I hope this one especially is going on a portfolio somewhere!

Do you have enough fur left for a frisky tail, they can add a lot to a dog performance. So cute, very professional.

Brilliant! such a wonderful puppet and there is so much one can do with it. The interesting part of the thread was
I'm really impressed. And yeah, you should definitely make it into a full body ventriloquist puppet, the suggestion of adding a tail was also worth considering, though I am not sure which one would match, a long tail or just a short one.
Keep up the good work.

Chiming in here... yes, really cool. Are you able to share a bit more on the eye mechanism?
Re: Meet Rufus Posted by The Puppet Workshop on Dec 03, 2013
Eye mech is really just wire through eyeballs and bent up to shape the brow. Haven't reinvented the wheel just basic mechanical movement controlled by
Puppeteers finger pulling on wire from inside. Sorry I didn't take any construction step by step pics. Next time I do one I'll try and take some
Pics.
