What should I do with this? Posted by Na on Dec 10, 2013
It's a toy theatre I made in 2007. It's currently sitting in my hallway, collecting dust. I don't particularly want to throw it out but I'm rather sick of it taking up storage space and it's a very awkward and large object. It's 80cm/31.5inch wide, 60cm/23.6inch tall, 50cm/19.7inch deep. Have no idea if it's in good working order, but as it is very low tech I assume all parts are roughly easy to fix anyway.

Please vote in the poll or add your suggestions! (Note: image below doesn't show it but the whole thing has a 'lid' which encases it for storage/travel)

Thanks to the 4 people who voted. Everyone else, if you haven't voted please do! Looks like I may be finding a school in the new year though...

Wow, 2 years later... I finally got rid of my toy theatre. In the end, I advertised it on a local classifieds site, stressing that it wasn't a children's toy. I ended up giving it away to someone living nearby who wanted it as decoration and because they might like to make something similar. While I'm sad to see the toy theatre go, I'd gotten to the point where I was sick of storing it and constantly tripping over it. It only collected dust. I'm also glad that I managed to give it to someone who'd look after it, rather than a family or daycare centre (who'd originally replied to my ad) or cannabilising it for trash. It took a lot for me to let go of it as it was so much hard work but now it's a relief to be able to move on and let go of something that was neglected for such a long time.
