Great teeth! Why is the first one covered in masking tape?

Great teeth! Why is the first one covered in masking tape? That's the easiest way to make a pattern for cutting the fur. I draw the pattern on the masking tape, peel it off and cut it so that I can lay it flat.

Ah ok... that makes sense. My first thought was pattern but then thought but he already has the form... forgot all about covering.

I keep eyeing that cat head....debatting on whether to find a place or not. Do you have one of these heads completely finished? Curious how they look with fleece and fur.
Re: 3D-printed puppet parts Posted by Tioh on Jun 22, 2014
The first 3d-printed head is now covered in fur (pattern made with masking tape, added seam allowance, cut the fur, sewed it together by hand, glued it to the head with high-temperature hot glue). The puppet is not finished - the fur on the head will be trimmed.

That looks...awesome! Nice detail and good shape. And it shows off how the eye placement looks. Thank you for posting!
