Moving Puppet eye Kit Posted by Shawn on Dec 23, 2013
I saw this over at FB via Arthur Smith's feed. http://www.shapeways.com/model/833922/animatronic-puppet-eye-kit.html I can't quite figure out if you can get it in different colors or not. Anyone ever buy stuff off Shapeways and know how it works?

I haven't looked into it more because I'm too broke to afford any! Feel free to order me some so we can see!

Yes while it is not a bad price it is still a bit of an investment. There is also a complete Animatronic head rig for a puppet. http://www.shapeways.com/model/1055054/animatronic-head-nano.html?li=related-items-int&materialId=6 It uses Hitec. Model: HS65hb/mg servo which seem pretty readily available. http://www.amazon.com/Hitec-33065S-HS-65HB-Karbonite-Feather/dp/B003T6XGNU

I'm also not sure I am grasping how they work. Manually or via external controls, not included?

I would say they are meant to be operated via cable and not manually. White tab off the top of the eye ball would be the connection for movement of eyes and then you have the small tabs off the upper and lower eyelids that would need cables.
