I like the new antron fleece more so than the old stuff.....the old stuff started to pill easily and quickly however the seems were greatly hid.....the new stuff does not pill as easily if at all but the seems are a little harder to hide takes more work to hide them but the stuff stays clean looking for a long time.

That is my 2 cents.......

You could have the class that size build one or two puppets.  have stations where small groups work on the different parts of the puppet (like an assembly line).  I'm no puppet builder (yet) but I have education experience and this is the method I suggest for the scenario you posted.  Small groups to work on small parts of the puppet would be beneficial for them to get the feel for at least one section of the puppet building process and if you have the groups present (in brief) how they assembled their section then the rest of the class would get an idea on how the rest was built.

I just found this via Twitter and thought other people would be interested. It's aimed at graphic designers, but there's a lot of extremely good points that work for puppeteers too.

No probs. I only had a quick scan, but there were so many relevant points that I thought others would find it useful.

Wish I was better at understanding business stuff like that and a little less creative. Maybe then I'd be more successful at the creative stuff

I guess both talents are a bit opposed- there will be very few people who are hot shots in both respects. Being one genius is not enough for you?

Being one genius is not enough for you?

Not when I can't afford to pay my bills, no. And seem not to be able to find permanent 'normal' work that does. ... And it would help stop me buying chocolate instead of saving for next month's phone bill

Well... same here. The Chocolate is mother, the chocolate is father... (Any more B5 fans here?)
