Hi, everybody!!! Call me Sammie. I haven't built any puppets yet, but I thought I might give it a try. I visited a church with a puppet ministry and wondered if the same might be feasible for our congregation. I'm pretty crafty, so I figured I might try my hand and putting one together and see how it goes!! Hope I can find some good tips here!!

Sammie, welcome. I'd suggest starting with a couple of patterns to give you an idea of basic construction. http://www.creativemin.com/category/puppet_building has a good people pattern and www.projectpuppet.com has very good basic patterns from glorified sock puppets to large performance style. Both of these will get you started off right.
