A Night With Puppeteers Posted by Puppeteer_Elly on Jan 17, 2014
At our last PNW Puppetry Meetup, a photographer came to take photos. Here are the pictures he put up on Flickr:

You get to see my workshop, some of my puppets and some of my collected puppets from Prague, BuildaBear, FAO, and Puppet Heap.

Great pictures and really nice work space! Love the wood floors. I have to ask about a couple of them. The picture of the clay head "behind" glass, what is the story there? It is a very intriguing picture I think. The other one I am curious about is the last one with coffee beans in it. Looks like it is in a kitchen. Does that belong in the set... if so what is that a coffee grinder. I figure it is but never seen one that looks that cool.
He is a good photographer. Love the one of the cat in the books.

The clay head was an attempt to make a clay version of my manager in Japan. Her name is Nozomi and she had the most interesting face of my coworkers there. I currently have three Japanese fairy tale shows built and I was really hoping not to fall into American stereotypes of Japanese faces with my characters which is why the study of real faces.
My partner Dylan roasts coffee...and it's one of the perks of coming to a workshop here! So no, it doesn't fit, but it fits. What you are seeing is a modified air popcorn popper made over into a coffee roaster. You don't have to modify them but the time it takes to roast beans in an air popper usually melts the plastic cover away. After about 30 roasts or so the cover becomes unusable...although really interesting to look at!
