That's pretty funny.

Two years later, and I am finally working on this guy. Wow, I am a slacker :D I have some plastic lids that I think will be used for the eyes.

His face is on
His head is the melonhead pattern from Project Puppet, enlarged 250%.
Eyes are cut out of a plastic lid using a printed picture of Oscar as a template.
Mouth is sewn together black plastic canvas which gives a decent view.

Pretty cool! For some reason I was thinking he was a hand in mouth puppet not a walk around puppet. I should have realized really and you most likely mentioned it.

Goal is to get familiar with making mascots out of puppet patterns, than to eventually work on full body puppets. That and I like the idea of bringing Sesame Street and The Muppets to comic con's, you get some very interesting reactions :D

I was trying to put my finger on why Oscar looks so happy instead of mad. Maybe it is the pupil placement or the eyebrows, or was that planned for him to finally look happy about the tardis/can. Good progress many great works took a long time to finish.

Thanks I imagine its mostly the mouth, which sadly I don't have much control over if I want to see. And you are right, the eyes are also part of it. Printed a photo of Oscar's face, enlarged it, then cut out the eyes and unibrow as a pattern. Most of his good online pictures have him smiling.

Thanks Now just need to finish the hands, add a bow tie, and raise the trash can to chest level.
