Well he was from the swamp so maybe he has swamp foot and maybe he enjoys swampy smelling things.  ick.

He's great. Love him.  (na...ha ha.  midwife, helper. well, if he's a butler type, you never know what he may encounter. Adds interestingly  warped texture to his character and backstory.)   cool.

question... how did you go about doing the mouth?
Re: Doulah Posted by Lizzies Lair on Feb 15, 2014
I've been wondering about the mouth too Krafty. I've only tried something similar once and it was an abysmal failure. I'm super impressed you've managed this so skillfully.

Found this in Krafty Karacters gallery album. Kind of shows how he did it.

aha. Thanks Shawn. The question now is, does the mouth card curve down with the nose/beak or is it  flat as in a normal mouth card?
Re: Doulah Posted by Krafty Karacters on Feb 16, 2014
Thanks Shawn, I loaded that photo into my gallery to help answer the question but ran out of time to post. The mouth plate is made from foam, so had a slight curve, but not much, if I was to do it again I would make it out of poster  board. The skull was a two pieces of half inch foam glued together. The beak formed really well and held its shape even without the mouth plate. I hope the  photo helps.
