Dammit. I was going to suggest Animax, but I couldn't figure out if that was the right name or not. When I googled them I couldn't find the right site (so I thought). Actually, Lisa's son works there

Don't know if you are looking for shops that have done work for the studios or just trying to find shops that are more than one or two people? I've done some studio stuff, but most of it's for pilots, and still covered by NDAs.

There's the Puppet Design Studio duo as well: http://www.puppetdesignstudio.com (Again, just the two guys, not a huge shop or anything)

Both. Basically I am just researching different companies to see what they are doing and how that translates to a "career." I used to work in the entertainment department at Disney where we used a whole bunch of different types of puppets, and since I have gotten more into the building, I figured I would see if I could find the companies who do large scale builds for shows. I am totally soul searching and trying to figure out my "path." LOL So this post is random. I have X Y and Z skills and I am trying to figure out what to do with my life. My day job as an Art Director at an advertising agency sounds great on paper, but it really isn't creative and forces me to sit at a desk behind a computer all day. I am looking for a shift to something where I can use my brain and my hands to make thing.

Oh, I so know how you feel... Good luck with it!

While you are waiting to figure out your new path, I might suggest looking locally for a puppet company.  While they may not big enough to offer you full time employment I bet you could work with them on some projects and that may give you some release from the boredom of the job. I am sure they would love to also grill you on ideas for advertising since that is your current vocation so it might be a bit tricky.
