I am trying to build my first marionette. I thought this would be great! Then I saw the pics! TOTALLY confused on how this would work!! lol

While not exact this thread http://puppetsandstuff.com/community/index.php?topic=4222.0 explains the concepts of a fish or vertical control which is similar to what Na is offering.

Just realized I might need to explain a bit on the image I posted. The front leg bar (light green) is detachable. It sets on a peg sticking up from the main control so you can lift it off. The shoulder bar (purple) is actually suspended below the main control via a short piece of cord. the other controls are actually glued and stapled (or small nails) to the top of the main control and can not be removed.

No no, fair enough. I should have pointed out it wasn't really for beginners. I wasn't quite sure what it was actually, I'm glad you said it was fish control.
