Which camera are you thinking of getting? I don't know if it's useful to you, but we found this one more than adequate for our purposes. I think you can get it cheaper than the $270 it states on the link i posted, as there's a newer model out now, which hopefully means you can find a bargain somewhere (or a second hand version) as retailers try and shift their old stock. It films in HD which is more than good enough for YouTube quality.
