Sure it would. He's into anything puppet related right now, and that sounds like good kind of humor. How do I get more information on that?

A really good idea would be to join Puppeteers of America (PofA) and/or your local PofA Guild if there is one in your area. You can look for local guilds on their web site. Most guilds hold local family-friendly events at least a couple times per year.

Also, a membership in PofA (which is separate from joining your local guild) gets you a subscription to "The Puppetry Journal", which is one of the two American puppetry magazines. It's a great way to learn about the American puppetry community.

Depending on your son's age, you might also want to take him to one of the PofA puppetry festivals. This year they are holding regional festivals across North America, so there is probably one in your general area. Your son would probably benefit from the festivals if he is 13 or older, but if you're in doubt contact the festival organizers directly for their advice about age appropriateness. Information on puppet festivals can be found on the PofA web site too.
