Bloody hell! Another fabulous build. You seriously blow my mind Julie. This guy/guys are amazing. Was this a self imposed challenge or a commissioned build? Do you know how he/they are going to be used?
So both heads/mouths are hand controlled? Are two puppeteers required or one?
Seriously awesome work - congratulations

Saw your post on FB about this guy. He really is cool! Is the hair strips of fabric?

Lizzie - this is a commissioned build. The customer is writing a children's book that includes this character. She will be using it at a children's festival in California this fall to promote the book. Yes, both heads are hand controlled. Their plan is to use one puppeteer, but I believe it will take two. The heads are heavy in my opinion...size as well as all the hair and hat. It is not a blacklight puppet, so the puppeteers will be visible.
Shawn - yes, the hair is strips of fleece, cut and rolled like a pom pom. Someone on Facebook asked for a video tutorial which I will try to make in the future.
It's always fun to have a new challenge such as this.

aaagh. I was wondering. It has a very children's book vibe to it at first glance. Well done.

That is amazing! Honestly, first thought was inspired by Dragon Tales, at least in the faces. Used to watch that show with my son

The guy that illustrated Dragon Tales is her neighbor. Apparently he has been helping her learn graphic design. Several people have mentioned they look like Dragon Tales. I've never seen the show only commercials. I did look it up to get ideas for the facial structure. The puppet is based on her graphic. I'll see if I can post it.
