I found this idea here on the site, referred me project puppet. So I gave It a go. Think the hardest part is going to get the structure in the hand. FYI  when they tell you let the epoxy cure, listen. Got all excited and started stuffing it together  and a finger came loose.......dough. I bought the rod from Walmart it's a marshmallow poker. The fiberated stuff is clipboard material. The wire is clothes hanger. Here's a slide show.

That marshmallow poker is a great base for a hand rod!  You know if you didn't care about the fingers bending you could also simply clip and bend the two prongs into a kind of circle/triangle and then glue two pieces of poster board to each side of that. This would give a solid base you could insert into the palm of your puppets hand.

That's a great idea! I ended up making the opening bigger to get it in. Thanks for the suggestion.
