Found this and wanted to share. Although most of the links there aren't in English, there are a LOT of diagrams, from marionettes to muppet-style, from rod puppet to small puppet sets. There's some images of hands and rods too. Really worth looking at if you have the time.

Cool resource. Found a neat tip for alternative to doll joints when making the arm rod attachment. http://othersidesamazements.blogspot.ru/2012/07/first-post-first-puppet.html If you scroll down the page you see that they use jean button replacements like you would use doll joints. It'll make sense when you look.

Yeah, that's one of the ones I saw. Really great idea - thinking now I should get myself on Pinterest. It makes so much more sense to be there as a puppeteer than to be on Facebook.

Yeah, I think the person has been pinning a lot of logos from puppetry websites. That's how I found it: they pinned my site too.

The site is in Russian, but there can also find instructions in English
