Awesome~! I love Star Wars and less CGI in anything is good in my book. It's so much better when something physically exists.

I think they killed Yoda when they turned him CGI. Just wasn't as good in terms of believable movement in my opinion.

Finally it's nice to see something coming back practical. The last couple of months I've heard of so many negative things regarding puppets puppeteers model makers mold maker sculptors all being replaced with CG and 3d printers at its been turning my stomach. This is made me feel better.

I never cared for the CGI Yoda either. I admire the ingenuity required when a puppet is used.

Don't worry, CGI will have its day. Economics will have a lot to do with it. But practicality and style will also. CGI is not cheap if you have to pay people to do it, and sometimes the look you want is just quicker and simpler to do with puppets or real sets, etc. I am finding that with filming puppets. You can do all sorts of things with CGI , but you have to look for the best solution to getting something done, and it is not always CGI.
