Any Australian artists out there?? I am haveing a lot of trouble consistantly finding Foam that I need, does anyone have or no of a good supplier?

Your best bet for foam is clark rubber (offcuts or factory outlets) although i dont mind the sheet foam at spotlight. Sue may have some other ideas... I dont have easy access right now but there is an article on my website - schoolofpupptery.com.au - on where to buy materials in oz. its not easy to find there as the site is technically behind a maintenance page but if you visit the link there is instructions for how to browse it.

Honestly we are not a good country in terms of diverse and easy to buy materials.

I live in Brisbane and I've found a foam wholesaler.  I think a lot of what they do is for upholstery and mattresses, but they can cut just about anything, so I was able to pick a foam I like and then give them the dimensions that I wanted.  But like what has been mentioned Clark Rubber is good too.

I just wanted to expand on what Krafty Karacters said. While I am in the US the city I live in has a wholesaler that sells to the upholstery and mattress industry. Luckily they are willing to sell to individuals also. So look in your area for companies that upholster furniture and see if they can give you their source for foam. It may be you have something local. Don't be afraid to tell them what you want it for. Often companies like this even if they do not normally sell to the public will make and exception once they find out what you do. The owner of the company in my city happens to love anything connected to theater so is willing to sell smaller orders to those involved in it.

Unfortunatly my local Clark Rubber is constantly under stocked, so I was searching the web as much as possible to try and find anywhere, I have also found a company in Queensland that are sending me a bunch of samples - and they where very helpful, will post details if they turn out to be a winner

Good luck with it. I constantly feel like I'm looking for good places to buy materials. I think sometimes the best bet is to find an online vendor or a manufacturer who can ship bulk or offcuts.
