I'm just having a look at the project puppet patterns and the basic materials list. I've tried a quick google but most of these things seem to be listed in america which isn't much use to me as the postage will be prohibitive on a lot of items. Can some kind should please point me in the right direction of where to get these materials in the UK.

Unfortunately the project puppet patterns are not available for sale in the UK, however the postage costs are not as high as you would imagine as within the last few years international postage costs have been worked out and there is now only a flat rate cost really.
also, what materials are you after other than the patterns? most other things can be obtained locally, you just have to know what to search for on the net as things can be under other names sometimes.

UK folks like jeezbo should be able to help you out with the specifics.

I can't remember whats on the basic materials list.

but I went here http://www.mandors.co.uk/ for fur and fleece
and here http://www.the-foam-centre.co.uk/ for foam

mandors don't have an online shop and they're only in Glasgow and Edinburgh, but your local craft shop will have fur of some description.
the foam centre also don't have an online shop, but you can phone them to order, so I guess they will send through the post.

I'll have a look when I get home at what else is on the list and make some more suggestions.

ooh, I also used mermibridg for eyes... or there are loads on etsy, or maybe try folksy too - I dunno what they've got.

Hooby craft is also great for everything if you have one near you.

The patterns I paid for are download only. It was one of the simple series ones so I now have the PDF on my computer to print out. It is only the two larger puppets that have CDs to post out.

I can ship colored Antron Fleece to the UK. It is about $30 in shipping, but if you buy in bulk we can work out some sort of deal. I am waiting on a shipment of dye so right now I only have a few colors available.
