Finally I'm getting there with my slow sewing! It's not perfect and there are a few wrinkles, but I think it'll do - the addition of hair and facial features will help hide the imperfections I'm sure! I just need to do the sides of the mouth where there is excess material now.

It's looking good. As long as you can get your hand up the neck is all you want. You will find out that pretty quickly, and then you will know for next time. Let us know how it looks with all its features on.

It is coming along nicely. Looks from the pictures that you might be right about the neck but like Phillip said if you can get your hand in then there is no problem.

This thread is terrific, JonathanB.  Thank you for sharing your process, and thanks everyone for all the tips. I am preparing to do the draping on my first puppet and feel much better equipped for reading all of this.
