I'll look him up later. I've read articles on crowdfunding in general before, but I figure it never hurts to ask for more info for a specific project. I know of a few folks who have done crowdfunding that I can poke as well.

No worries! Money's usually tight for me too, so I settle for spreading links around.

Yeah, Andrew would be good to talk to because he did a couple of campaigns for his movie. He will probably have a better idea of how to promote to a puppetry audience than most.

Good luck!

The microphone and other things came yesterday, so I was able to test them out. Here is my test video:

My cat passed away last Friday, so I've been too depressed to work on any other puppet related stuff this week, or to push the fundraiser any further. I feel like I'm starting to come to terms with it, though, and should be back on my feet shortly.

My condolences on the death of your cat. We recently lost our dog, and it's hard to get used to not having that personality and company around. Best wishes

I'm so sorry about your kitty. May the memories of happier times get you through the difficult days.

Condolences on your loss.

Checked your test video. The only thing I noticed is that on my computer I had to turn my volume way up to hear it.  Not sure how close you had it but you might need to move it closer to you.

Thanks for the condolences, everyone. I've been receiving lots of support the past week or so, and am thankfully feeling like I can move on. One thing that has really helped is that we had a lot of photos and video of our cat - so I'm suggesting that everyone who has a pet they love be sure to capture memories.

I'm going to be trying for another video today, so I'll see about moving it closer. I had the microphone sitting on a box on my lap, but I don't think it was up high enough.

My husband is moving his workshop into a better, more permanent location now, and so I'll be setting up my video stuff there. I think I might be able to make a permanent shelf or something to have the microphone at the right height.

I just discovered that the microphone I got actually can work with an iPad, if I get the right attachment. This is going to make life so much easier.
