He is great, happy look, good eye focus and variegated hair is wonderful. Hands are very good. You have a good eye.

Thanks for the compliments. Lots of fun and already thinking of the next ones (after completing the girls). Really wish I could find better quality spoons that wouldn't crack when trying to cut. Ping pong balls have me a bit worried about being fragile. Now that I feel more comfortable with the actual construction of the puppet and experimenting with hair I need to learn some methods of creating eyes. I'm up for the challenge so if you see an increase in the 'view' stats in the posts about eyes you can be sure it's me.

Look for plastic Easter eggs at the hobby store. They should be easier to cut and hold up better then perhaps the spoons. Should be a pretty good variety of them now in stores. If you can find the clear ones you can paint the inside white and then you have a nice glossy eye. If you are sure of the pupil position you can paint that on the inside first and then cover in white. Why the inside? It keeps the paint from scratching off.
