Hello all!

I'm a new puppeteer, as you can see by the title. I just got into it close to two years ago and I'm in love! I've been working at the Columbia Marionette Theatre and have been trying to hone my skills. What I love most about puppetry is how it utilizes all art forms, drawing, music, acting, etc. Glad to have found a place online to discuss something that is now so dear to my heart with others who feel the same!

Looking forward to seeing what this has in store.

P.S.--I will be moving to NYC this August and attempting to find some great puppetry there. I can't imagine I'll have much of a problem with that!

So by skills are you puppeteer, puppet maker or both?  Sounds like you have been bitten by puppet bug.

Both! I love the performance aspect of it, and I'm trying to get better at the building. I've built several puppets in the last two years and I'm getting better with each one, thankfully! Oh yes, I've certainly been bitten.

Hi, and welcome! Since you have already built a couple puppets, would you consider posting a picture or two, if you have any? I'm sure that I'm not the only one who would like to see what you have come up with.
