Greetings from SE Virginia Posted by AmyR on Apr 01, 2016
Greetings, I perform Punch & Judy with glove puppets in SE Virginia, USA.  I made the full Punch & Judy set plus some new "friends" and have made one marionette so far as well.  Along with the standard performances, I've also "Pupped" Wrecking Ball and What Does The Fox Say with Punch & Judy.  Costuming the traditional puppets while still trying to keep them identifiable is hilarious.  Surprising what you can do inside a little portable stage.  Upcoming is more such silliness and some improvements to the stage (I found out later about the "puppet catcher" and when it rains during performances - I need one.)

I'm here to discuss fabrication and operation of other puppets - planning to make more and larger marionettes, plus add operable mouth and eyes to both glove and marionettes.  We also operate a large flying dragon puppet - mounted on a rod affixed to the shoulders and a 12' wingspan.

Welcome to Puppets and Stuff! Sounds to me like you'll fit right in.
