Looks like you are well on your way.

HEY! Just figured out the Gallery feature.

And I learned a fairly important lesson. My foam is too thick.
Working on the head. I'm pretty sure attaching the mouth plate will pull those lips into place.

Looking good, and you are tackling techniques that I am still scared to try!

What thickness of foam are you using?  Making an assumption here, but since puppets are primarily supported by our hands, I imagine 1/2" would be best even at that size.

I got 1". It was all that was available at the time, but it has since been restocked. That's how I realized  I had grabbed the bigger stuff.

Future endeavors will be done using 1/2" and I'll have a ton of thicker stuff for features.

You are correct that the mouth plat is going to draw you lips in to the correct place.  Looking good!  1/2" is going to work much better for you.

Alrightie! Some more progress has been made. Mouth plate and skull are almost complete. I need to sculpt a tongue and teeth.

Thank you very much!
Test fitting his body and debating ading some torso details while my fiance's ponies look on.

You may not need torso details. If  you do add them I would suggest not covering the torso in fur and using just his t-shirt so they well show.  Fur tends to smooth everything out unless it is really exaggerated.

P.S.  Tell the truth you like those ponies just as much as your fiance right?    Just kidding with you.  Get the feeling you and your fiance are a great match.

I was thinking of doing a fleece belly with fur backing. I may well just forgo the "belly paunch" this go around.
As to the ponies, I do admit I was the one who got her into the show, but the collection is all hers.
