Being very new to the whole puppet building scene, my first puppets were a full-on sock puppet and a shoe box monster puppet. However, with a period of illness having kept me off of work all week I decided to fill my time with a puppet project and so had a go at the 'glorified sock puppet' pattern from projectpuppet. My new friend isn't finished yet (what kind of dragon has no wings or tail, right?), but am very pleased with him so far and wanted to share. I have really learned a lot from making him and am looking forward to making another so I can apply what I have learned to achieve a better build.

Looks like maybe you have your photo set to private over at FB.  You can upload it here at PandS if you want into your Gallery > Your Album and then when you post there  is a small camera icon you can click on to insert it into your post.  Looking forward to seeing your creation!

well, he's going to be a dragon and will probably just decorate my living room when not being played with. He will also serve as a 'prototype' for when I make more. I have made a few 'mistakes' in his construction which I will rectify with my next one (my daughter wants me to make one for her - a triceratops!).

Probably. She is fond of the dragon, even in his incomplete form. Triceratops is gonna take some designing though!
