My First Puppet Build Posted by MrGreen23 on Feb 01, 2017
I posted an introduction since I'm new......here is my first build.
I used a pattern for the foam skull that I found through Google searches galore. Not sure who to credit but I think it had "Ted" printed on the pieces. The skin (on the head specifically) came through a bit of trial and error. I cut and tweaked three or four scrap fabric patterns before using the fabric I purchased for the project.
Shortly after the build started his destiny of being a gift was declared by my fiancé. He was to be given to her sister who was always called "monkey" by my fiancé growing up. I let her name him. I give you Boo.

Nice work! I love the expression on the green guy. Is that the Project Puppet pattern? http://www.projectpuppet.com/

It totally is..... Project puppet's Glorified Sock Puppet. After the challenges of patterning the fabric on Boo's head and building the turtle from scratch, I bought the Project Puppet pattern to try them out see how they were.
Let me say they are wonderfully put together and are very straight forward. I really appreciate how complete they are but also how much room they leave for the creativity of the builder to make something that is run of the mill or something that is unlike anything else.

Lovely work! I think the turtle is my current favourite.

Those are fantastic first builds. Project Puppets patterns are so good, wish I had them years ago. You really have a good artistic eye, can't wait to see more.

Love the look! They have the plush animal look which is great Project Puppet patterns are a great resource, but don't cut yourself short on that turtle. Challenges aside, I love the way it came out.
