Thank you for the enthusiasm. The process was inspired by a crafts channel I follow on facebook. Her method made a mouse, but I saw that it was easily modified.

Cool.  what do you do with the heel? Does it have any stuffing or foams?

Currently it's just got the back of my hand in it. I did do a small foam insert in the nose of the zebra looking one that just rests on top of the fingers to create the nose.

I particularly liked the zebra looking one. .The length of the sock...what sort of length are they that you are using? When I use one of my socks, putting my hand in the heel as you have indicated, mine seem very long in the snout. Maybe I have a big foot. I have also tried putting a mouth card in the heel and putting a head foam in the toe to get a vertical puppet... sorta worked, but gave a very tall head.

It might be the size of my hands in all truth, or possibly that the sock winds up getting pinched behind the mouth pad rather than cut, that results in the fit. I'll take some measurements when I get home, but for now i can tell you that the bulk of them are the fuzzy socks that Dollar Tree sells.

Got a couple more done before we had to deliver the lot!
