My name is Petrik, I run an arts and crafts website in New Zealand, we're going to be adding puppet making into the mix. Doing what research I can to assist with this, however it appears puppetry seems to have died as of around 2014. Most source seem to not have been updated since about then. A lot of website links are dead too. Let's hope we can breathe some life back into this art.

No the art form is not dead. I posted some links on your other post that may be helpful to you. Our members log in at least once a week so it may take a day or two to get answers but we are still here I promise.

Yeap, in my country was very hard to find something at that time, but now is like coming back, I hope puppets will keep growing.

I like to think that there have been more time between posts because we are feverishly making real puppets with all the knowledge from this site.

That's a great way of putting it Snail. Yes, we are beavering away, editing, editing, editing, meetings, wig making, building, seminars, rendering, filming, composing, etc. A few weeks ago we did a workshop in another town, and during the night the next door neighbor's dogs got into the building where the puppets were and destroyed 6 of them. We found three in pieces, and only the foams of another three...one, was one I took with me, so it did not even get to do a performance, except what it did on camera before going to the workshop. So now I am looking at replacing  at least some of them.  There is always a lot to do... hope everyone  are having fun.

What a shame, rest in pieces.
