Tested the fan, and it works!  Takes air out the back of the head, and pulls air from a hole in the bottom of the snout area. Its kind of funny, I read many tutorials and had no reason to believe it wouldn't work, but always great to see something first hand

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together!

Now have the A-Team theme stuck in my head :D

I was wondering, since I am going with a shy ventriloquist, how many puppets would be good or how many are too many?  The one I posted above has a bit of angry brow going on, and I was thinking he would be good for emotional segments.  Was thinking I could build a different puppet for various themes/moods not to mention one I bought from Luna's Puppets and Edgaaar The Horrible which I have had for awhile now.  I don't want to get carried away, at least at the start.  Is four puppets too many?

I don't think that four is too many.  I like the concept that they represent different emotions. Even his own emotions.

First time attempting a pattern from duct tape like that.  Didn't do so well, but I believe I will get a decent body from this.

I can just imagine the conversation.  "Hey honey could you take the duct tape and wrap my body?".
Did you do a test out of cheap fabric first?  Looks like maybe you have your fur already marked.  I normally get some cheap canvas or cotton material and test my pattern.  That way you can make changes before the final cut.  Fur hides a lot of imperfections so you might be ok if  you didn't.

"Honey, wanna tie me up with duct tape?"  "Hell yeah!"  :D

I should have tried on cheap fabric first.  Actually wanted to transfer the pattern to poster board to keep the template, but I messed up on the undergarment.  Wanted it tight, so wore long johns and stuffed pillows into the shirt.  When we cut the tape off, it started to contract so rushed to get the patterns marked on fabric.  So far, so good.  Stitched up the shirt today, though am having some trouble with the sleeves.  I am not good with sewing, and only know the Henson stitch.  Worked great on the body, but it made the shoulders/arms too tight and I popped the stitches.  Going to have to try something different there, and will try sewing the pants portion tomorrow.
Re: Ventriloquist Mascot WIP Posted by Shawn on Jul 19, 2017
Look at a sleeve in a pre-made pattern for basic shirt. It should give you an idea of the shape you need. There is normally "extra" fabric in the top part of the sleeve that gets eased in to the body of the garment.

So you are sewing this by hand? You really need to get a sewing machine.   It will change  your life. Don't start with anything fancy just a basic cheap machine. It has been a while since I purchased one but could be you could get a machine for under $100.00. For basic puppet sewing the cheap ones are fine and should last.

You are right, machine much better :D  Especially since I am having to make some alterations.  Should of done more research on the duct tape dummy :D  Hope to have most of the bodysuit done next week.  In the meantime, working more one of the puppets, and am coming out with this guy:
