Hello, everyone! I'm a new member on these forums. Since 2011 I've wanted to attend the Puppets in Prague workshop but always put it on hold. In 2017, I couldn't off on it anymore. I applied and got accepted. I've had training in string puppetry before but I feel like there's more in me and the Prague workshop can help bring more out of me. I'm really excited! One challenge - I don't have the funding to go. I started a Go Fund Me Campaign shortly after. I applied for a scholarship in December of 2017, but was turned down. I currently have no job, my income comes from selling caricatures and that's been going slow. I need to pay $500 by the end of January, as it is half the workshop fee. My campaign goal is $2100 but my goal for the month is $500.00. Due to my situation, finding a job will be difficult and even if I could, I don't think I'll make the money in time. Also, I need to purchase plane ticket early to keep costs down and that alone will cost me about $1000.00 for a 6-week stay in Prague. Collectively, I think it can be done!
