The Eurofurence Pawpet-Show Posted by Tioh on May 23, 2018
For several years I showed puppets that were made for the Eurofurence Pawpet-Show. I guess it's time to properly introduce the show.
It is an annual live hand puppet show for an international audience (English language) made by unpaid volunteers in Germany, that features a new story every year - often in a new setting and genre.
Each show (2-3h long) is only played once in front of an audience (several rehearsals ensure all puppeteers know what to do). The puppeteers that play the mouth of a puppet also speak the lines while they control the character. We have wireless microphones and remote triggers for sound effects.
The story is written and performed for an adult audience - it's definitely not for kids - main characters "died" on stage.
The show grew over the years - that also means it got more expensive and more complex. We're always looking for new volunteers - there are many jobs besides puppeteering and puppet making.
For the last years, the team members bought most of the materials for the puppets, costumes, special effects, props, etc. with their own money. It would be really nice if some people would help to lessen the financial burden - that's why a Patreon page for the show was created.
Currently, I'm filming tutorial videos that show how I make new puppets - supporters of the show will get to see those first.

Yeah Shawn. I Agree. Cool to see where all the 3D printing goes. That's a great project, and must be so much fun.
