I have 10 puppets now (and growing) and I'm considering bringing one of them along to work (I work 70 hours a week) to help develop their quirks.

My issue is that I know my co-workers will want to touch them (which is fine) and slide their hands inside(which isn't fine) to try them out.

That thought really bothers me.  It's not about their hands being dirty or such, but rather I see it as an invasion... of... the puppets personality; the character I created.

It's like someone borrowing your underwear (and wearing them).  I dunno... What do you guys think?

I can kind of understand what you are talking about. I well say though that the more puppets you create the more this feeling well most likely wane.

I work with puppet troops and push that they all develop their own characters so that the puppets don't have one character in one performance and another in a different performance, but there is still sharing that has to take place on occasion. for teaching and demonstration, have a character that you specifically allow others to mess with.
