Any suggestions, experiences or comments?
Pedal faster! Just kidding.
Even if you transfer in a car you can have this issue depending on where you are allowed to load in your stuff. Try to make arrangements to get as close to a door or loading dock as you can. If you are close you can tarp the entire haul and then quickly move it from trailer to inside the building. Plastic rubbermaid tubs are great for holding puppets and transporting them. They well also keep your stuff dry in a downpour.

I have to agree it looks very much like they may have used the Glorified Sock Pattern. I very much doubt you are going to be able to find it for sale of the shelf anywhere.

Very good video! You rock Sonny! Thanks for remembering everyone here at Puppets and Stuff.
While I am not currently a member of PofA (Puppeteers of America), I would encourage folks to join them or at least a local regional guild in their area. Both the national festivals and the regionals are worth attending and you get to meet some really great people.

Let's see I just spent about 30 mins watching this guy. I think I better stay away from his channels. It really is some good information and his commentary is really funny. I it is a good thing that he has given permission to embed it video's, or we whould have to justify thier appearance here with our opinions and words like fair use.

I think you have a great start there. I think it felt and looked pretty professional despite what some of the folks where committing. I do think you can learn from what they had to say depending on what the target audience is supposed to be for these episodes. I do think that the voices need some development but that well come. They are real close to each other and to classic Muppet voices. I think that is why you get the "cute" comment so often. Now if that is what you are after then you are right on spot with things.

The doctor has never had a beard? One of them had some type of facial hair did he not? Maybe I am just not remembering right. Old age you know.
Great job! Does the story line tie in with the last season of the doctor and the library show? I don't remember the details but the lines at the end made me think of that. Beautiful backgrounds.

Jay,
I really like the new design. The addition of the brow ridge and eye socket to sink the eyes really takes things to a different level.

I really think you would be fine with the Blue Boy pattern. I am not even sure that anyone really "owns" that pattern and it is pretty basic. You are right to ask Bashful about is Joshua Junebug and I bet he'll tell you it is ok. If not why not simply include the puppets and stuff URL in your hand out material so your workshop folks can get on-line and check it out.
Let's face it you are holding workshops to help folks learn to make a puppet and you are looking for hand outs that you can give them to take home and work on their own. Teachers and workshop leaders have been doing that for years and often that content is stuff they have found for free and simply copied off.

Hey I think that fits here perfectly! That dog is a puppeteer.... not only is he manipulating an inanimate object he is throwing his voice!
Re: Check out this dolly shot. Posted in Check out this dolly shot. on Mar 01, 2009
Very smooth... great work. Now you have to give details on how you did it! I assume the puppeteer was laying on the dolly with the camera... Yes-No? That was one very long hallway. It was real, was it not?
