I've made a marionette puppet out of a Walmart 3 ft. skeleton.
It all done but the clothes now.
I'm putting a pair of Overalls on him
I'm not sure how to put the leg/knee string.Message Image
Should I just put a hole in the Overalls at the knee and leave the Overalls loose or should I glue the Overalls to the leg bone and then run the string  though a hole.
Also what about the foot do I just let the string come out the pant leg at the bottom or put a hole in the pants at the shin then to the foot?
Sorry to keep asking So many Question but I want him to work right for my Granddaughter.
I've included a picture of the puppet.
thanks for any help you can give
John

You don't need to glue the overalls to the puppet just got through them at the knee. For the foot you might need to go through the overalls at the shin but I would try it without doing that first.

Usually with cloths the most important thing is that you make them out of loose clothing. I put a puppet in jeans once and it kind of restricted his movement some. Hindsight I wish I would have made them out of a lighter material that looked like jean material but wasn't as thick. I think in your case though you'll be ok.
