The cast of ALIENS YOU WILL MEET 3-D, a puppet show based on my podcast ALIENS YOU WILL MEET, which will be performed live at Dragon*Con this weekend (at 5:30pm Saturday, in the Jackson/Carter room at the Hilton, if you want to see it).  The show, which includes light-up effects and purposefully bad guitar work, is a bit of a first for me.  With half a dozen puppeteers and 15 puppet, it's going to be a handful. I've never worked with a puppet cast this large before.

Does the "hand" stretch out of the mouth of that bottom one.... to grab people... err, I mean stuff?  lol  That's pretty cool!

anonymoushippopotamus, yes, yes it does.  It terrorizes some of the smaller puppets over the course of the show.

As we always say "Break a Rod!!" this weekend AND let us know how it goes! (of course pictures would be nice too - I'd love to see the puppets in action!!)

I think that one of our quieter members here will be there at Dragon*Con this year too. If you see someone with a collection of handmade Dr. Who puppets be sure to say hi from Puppets and Stuff. Her husband is a fairly well-known comic book and science fiction writer, but she'll have her own table set up there too. She used to work at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, and does costuming and puppet & doll making for conventions, as well as working as an editor for a science fiction publisher.

The show was a big hit!!!  Everything went off without a hitch! here's a video of the show a friend of mine put up, and here's here's some photos  another friend took.



As clearly seen, a great time was had by all.

Wow, both pictures and video,  we have high expectations from you in the future.

That was great to see,  I love all your puppets but the one that stands out the most is the creature that swallowed the one whole.  It's the one that two puppeteers use at the same time. 

Congrats on not only completing puppets but also completing a productions with them.

Keep us informed on future projects so we can see the progress you make at socializing the aliens to our planet!!

Thanks for showing us the video!!  Pictures are GREAT but video is even BETTER!!  It is so much fun  to see how other people are using puppetry where they are!!
